Have you seen those strange cats with huge ears like bats,
And eyes that are larger than most other cats?
They remind one of gremlins and they behave that way too,
Eager to interfere in everything you do.
They will climb onto shoulders. They like being up high,
And I truly believe that they think they can fly.
They jump from the table onto the top of the door
Always seeking to reach places they haven't been before.
If they crash land they don't seem to care,
Pretending they always intended to land there.
Their curls could trick you into believing they are little angel cats,
But they ruin that effect by behaving like little rats.
Anything you own belongs to them too,
And they will follow you about helping with all that you do.
If you tell them they're not needed they pretend they can't hear,
If you try scolding them they just don't really care.
They will fix you with eyes that are guileless and wide,
And you will laugh and caress them as you melt inside.
